Good point about the duct tape, Mr. Motts. Yuck, this deteriorated chair almost looks like an electric execution chair now.
The brown brick, gold leaves and green foliage are lovely. I gather the buildings were named, but why name it "Union"?
How interesting to see the many different wall materials.
I agree the stairs are for training etc. but certainly quite dangerous with no railings. Anyone with balance, sight or other issues could easily fall off.
Yes, aren't the skylights lovely, bring in lots of sun on sunny days.
I agree with you, CanadianChick. Also, interesting that the backs of the chairs form an almost-complete heart, in what I take it was a heartless place.
The turquoise vacuum attachment is a nice touch.
Love the detail on the balusters and you caught the different textures in the shot perfectly - the fuzzy roughness on parts of the wall, the smoothness of the tiles, etc.
LucieLou I wonder if the two cranks are connected so the attendant just cranked one and both worked, or did the attendant have to go back and forth from one to the other to put the bed up? (to avoid only one end going up and maybe dumping the patient on the ground as the other end stayed where it was).
I started to scroll down and the hair and skin under and around the hair came into view, and it is so realistic, I thought for a minute that it was a real head, until I got to the ripped white part at the bottom. Nice colours, amazing they stood the test of time.
I'm wondering the same thing as "N" is.
The orange colour is a perfect accent.
What is that thing in the center of the wall near the top of the photo?
Love the rays of sun in the dust or fog.
How wonderful that on Canadian Thanksgiving, I find a new gallery from Mr. Motts. Great photo with lovely leaves.
