I have been fasinated by this buliding since I saw it on an episode of Ghost Adventures. The horrors that this buliding experienced is devastating, but I think that it would be a interesting place to just be inside of.

Also were there just mentally retarded or were there actually people with mental illnises or both. i have been here before, i went to the haunted house but i wish that i could go bymyself because i didnt like the haunted house i thought it was to over done with decorations and was kind of cheesey. i think it would be amAazing to go with no decorations because i love haunted thingsss. thanks (:

As I sit here reading all your entries, I think of my 12year old Autistic daughter, different place, different time she could have been sent there. I can't help but wonder how many kids were sent there like her that had so much to offer but were never given a chance. So sad!
thats a lot of typewriters i think that they would let the 3% of people that they teached there try to learn how to type
