i see in this pic like most of the others there really is no spray paint or damage from vandals at this place that is cool

We are lucky and should prey for those like the patients who lived in Pennhurst. And, thank god we didn't have to endure what they did.

There is a state hospital very close to where I live, I used to run up on the grounds. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful but, on some occasions I would be jogging between some of the seperate buldings about 9 years ago, I could hear shrill screams comming from those buildings. Needless to say I don't run there anymore!

Motts. do you run into many other explorers, homeless, or vandals on these sites???

It's a paved road, it is just really old and unmaintained.

It takes a little discretion to get there, especially now that they've hired a security company that patrols the grounds. That's all there is to say about that ;)

Motts, I see there is a dirt road in this one. When entering any of these buildings and Pennhurst I'm guessing you don't just pull your vehicle up park it and walk in the front door . How do ya do it? I assume you've gotta be kinda sneaky to get in there right?? Do tell please...Sorry of this is a stupid question, just wondering .

ironically the one building i built enough nerve up to enter didnt realize rooms were off to the right there........only thing i remember was the silence was deadening..........and the feeling of desolation overcoming
