There were many pregnancys at Pennhurst and places like it. Many infants were born and aborted on the grounds, many hidden bc of assaults committed by staff and paitents alike. I'm an RN, I work in emergency med. However, I have always had a fascination with psych med and the history or treatment in particular.
Is someone in the back left corner, or is it just a trick of light. Can't get enough of your pics Motts, keep them coming.

MY HEART BROKEN SHAME ON US AS A COUNTRY OF THE FREE. THIS SHOULD NEVER HAVE HAPPENED. GOD BLESS THE CHILDREN
@Mouse

Don't worry: I'll go here in the future :)
@Lisa

Maybe...Someone should find out!!! :)
I have read many stories of this place and it gives me chills and makes want to cry. I can not believe all things that have happened in that place it truley angers me. I truly hope that all pure souls in this terrible terrible place find peace even after all the cruel awful things that happened to them. I have ADHD and according to what I've read I would have been considered mentally disabled .

I have one of these in my garage,cabinet only. Got it from a local salvage
yard. It came from the local General Hospital. My significant other would love for me to get rid of it, but I want to turn it into a mad scientist's machine with a giant jacob's ladder on top and neon tubes on the sides.
Yes their is electric in the building

It may not look it, but somebody still owns everything here.
I wonder if there is any leftover film on the floor. You know, scraps of it. Would have been extremely interesting to grab some of it and maybe learn what was being shown (not that it would exactly matter mind you) and maybe ascertain if there were actual movies shown or just cartoons or maybe as I said, staff movies and filmed reports for the greater staff.
