I've been twice. It's a strange place. I think the reports of why they closed the school are falsified, as it seemed apparent from artifacts found that people other than "retarded" children/adults were kept in the compound. Also, why did the military put a building in the middle? Think about it. Clearly, human experiments were carried out here. To cover their tracks, they closed it and installed a miliary base.
yes indeed there is something or someone in the window. you can also see the branch of the evergreen tree,it stops short right at the egde of the window frame. or it could just be something that camera picked and came out when it was developed,if motts developes his own pics too. there also might be a smeare or the picture that give the illusion that someone or something is in the window.
Im all for leaving active sites or those of high security alone but at Pennhurst neither is the case. The state dosent give a damn about anything in those buildings or the buildings themselvews or else they would not have left them all to rot. And at a low security, high traffic abandoment like Pennhurst there are 3 things that happen to stuff there. 1: A person finds it cool and takes it. 2: A person takes it to sell or scrap 3: A person destroys it. Usually what happens is number 3 and I would much rather a man like Phantom, who appreciates it, take something than have some asshole throw it off a roof to see it smash.
nope not a B3, or any Hammond for that matter....I'd have to cast my lot with the guy who said it was a Conn organ, although I initially thought it was a Thomas organ (looks like Thomas-colored tilting tablets. In excellent condition...looks like all it needs is to cleaned up and a few broken keys repaired. It more than likely still works....these things are usually bulletproof.
So much for privacy, huh? Reminds me of third grade. They renovated the bathrooms, but forgot to install the stall doors. You had to have someone stand in front of you as a make-shift door. XD
The sides seem kinda high. There used to be an old bathtub in the 1950s section of my house that had high sides, so I guess people were more flexible back in the day. ;)

True ghost hunters will NOT go to places without permission from the owners as it is trespassing - I would love to go to Pennhurst to do an investigation - I used to work there - but as "true ghost hunters" we respect the law. Photograph all the asbestos while you are trespassing on Commonwealth of Pennsylvania owned property.
As an investigator for a paranormal research group i have been trough this building along with most the others many times. When you wallk up on this place in the middle of the night with nothing more than a flashlight to guide your way, it is like something out of a horror movie. Even after seeing the place several times, my mouth still drops every time i see it. As for it being haunted i cant really say one way or the other. I havent personally experienced anything so far but i still have much investigating to do. No matter how many times you go to this place you always find something new.
A similar protocol was followed at the Fernald School in Waltham, MA. I'm sure it was the same at other state schools and developmental centers throughout the states.
