why is everything here in aqua or pink. Sickening as best. How depressing for someone who longs for sun light, green trees and blue skys.

Why would you want to announce that you are going to sneak into a building when it's against the law here of all places? You know how easy it would be for someone to report you?

thes pictures are amazing. I referenced your site for others to visit because I took a few shots myself- but only from the outside. I would LOVE to get inside for some shots. How would I get permission to do that>???

Most people just don't understand me
because when I look out a window
it is not tranquility or serenity I feel
but instead, extreme sadness.
I am not sure why that is so
perhaps it is because
when I look out at say, the trees
or perhaps a skyline of gray
maybe even the ocean
even a beautiful garden
I am not there
but instead, in this room.
it makes me think of happier days
spent with the ones I care about
days that were so pleasing
that I wish I was there
just as I wish I were amongst those treetops
or in that vast garden
and not in a plain room
a plain room in my mind...
where I am not with my loved ones
I am not in the happier days.

oh I dunno... maybe the patient in here at one time felt this way. I just thought combining the poem with this picture was really thought provoking.

since when did they have infants in a mental hospital? How can you classify an infant as a mental pacient

I think its actually interesting when they leave stuff behind so you see what kind of activities went on.

If anything was left behind in that room (which is doubtful) then its probaby destroyed already by vandalists

Is it me or does it look like those trays to hold the bodies in the morgue missing, What a shame. It looks digusting. Its sick how people can distroy property when most just want to learn about how these poor pacients lived and what life was like in one of these institutions.
