I used to work in these warehouses right after college. My job was to roll barrels of distilled whiskey (Kesslers) from one end of the warehouse to the other where they were reinserted into racks for aging. Worse job I EVER had!!! I was also part of the crews that started dismantling the racks that were housed inside to hold barrels. All of these bonded warehouses stored Kessler's alcohol-mostly blended whiskey in oak barrels.

These are not wine racks... they are "rollers" which hold the casts (barrels) of aging whiskey.

I was there recently myself, and it was definitely nothing like this. Like E said, a lot bigger looking, closer to the main path, covered in graffiti.

Motts, Just found your site while researching Pennhurst (which I grew up "investigating" since it was in my backyard). This is also right down the street from my childhood home, obviously. I noticed that you don't have the farm house that is included on this campus. It's quite amazing, there are a few homes and a large barn full of equipment. We stumbled across it one day and it became my local hang out as a teen. There are some great photo ops there. If you ever find yourself in the area again, feel free to email me for directions copyright1982@gmail.com.
