And there in the middle: A BEAUTIFUL HUGE HEAVY WOODEN TABLE, + a few pretty chairs......and many baskets with fruit&vegetables;, and a cat+dog, and even a few chicken.....I dream about this kitchen.

Middle of the night. Sitting in the dark, door mostly closed so as to not wake anyone. Suddenly, your significant other/kid comes rushing into the bathroom needing something, swinging that door WIDE open and bam--broken nose while pooping.

This beautiful work just rotting away. I love looking at the pic's but always am sad to see them abandoned. I always wonder why people just let them go to ruin. I guess the $$ to use/sell them and upkeep costs. Even just regular houses.

They do take some getting used to, for sure. Thank you, will do!
The photo brings about strong feelings that if I had to navigate the stairs while I was drunk, I would end up with broken bones. You do have a wonderful gift of bringing out the artistic qualities in things, Motts. I have been enjoying your website for years. Please keep them coming!
I agree. The craftsmanship in this fireplace and the pillars is incredible- what beautiful work! Its too bad it is sitting there going to waste.

Did you notice the stone work on the peak of the roof on the left? So amazing. Such a shame this place was vandalized. To many people in this country enjoy destroying things.

It is also weird that the door pulls have been put in after the original hardware was removed. Who did that? Maybe the Masons when they were using the building. And that is probably where the more modern toilet came from also.
