I can see myself having to write "I will behave myself in class" on all boards from top to bottom..... :)

Looks like this building is almost ready for demo. Good thing you were able to get these photos. Wonderful as always!

Classic Wall to wall blackboards. love it!
Thanks Motts.
I love the mosaics.
Is it weird that the desk looks like it's in a lot better shape then anything else?
My favorite combination; Plants, glass and sunlight! This is simply stunning!! There is a feeling as though the building is intruding with nature instead of the other way around.
I love the feeling that this stair case is almost reaching out to you. The soft light that flows through the broken windows is enchanting. Great capture Motts! ♥

This one I have been through when I lived in St Louis, although it was in much better shape. You need to check out Central High School in St Louis.

I believe that door went to the basement, and the door to the right goes to a storage area under the stairs.

What's that on the left? A storage room under the stairs?

Now that you mention WWII and scrap metal You've made me wonder if Kurt Vonnegut went to school there. Then I checked and He's from Indianapolis where his family were brewers. and so it goes......
I misremembered :)

St. Louis has extreme weather from freezing winters to sweltering summers. Now that the roof is breached, mother nature will tear this place apart quickly. Sad.
