Into the pool everyone, the waters fine.

No, not really. Rusty, stale & who knows what it hides below it. Yeah, the freeze/thaw cycles would be brutal on the building. Bricks are already hanging on as best they can there already.

These are still used today. Nearly any box/carton you see that's sealed with brown paper tape goes through one of these. They can even be set for fixed lengths of tape to be dispensed & cut with a simple yank on the lever.
Yucko!

I remember when Detroit was the promise land for good paying jobs in the auto industry. It was the escape from poverty in Appalachia. Many of my relatives and friends fled there the day after high school graduation. As a child visiting I remember the beautiful Victorian houses and the lights of the city. Sad to see it fall so far into blight and poverty itself.
They don't make 'em like this anymore
Yep, this place is gonna need some work
These tall, old buildings mesmerize me so. So glad they are planning to put it back into use!

It's a paper tape machine. You put water in one end, and the moistened paper tape is used to seal boxes.
Thanks for the link, too - logotype certainly a mixture of all - yes?
