Nice mural.
I agree, Fla.Gator.
From this shot, you can imagine the beauty of the ceiling and walls.
I agree, Kaya. A cavernous place.
Amazing photo - great colour, angles, texture.
What a shame.
Looks almost like a shot of the bottom of the sea.
The sides look degraded but the center of the curtain still looks good - too bad it couldn't be saved somehow.
Wow, that shows the height much more.
Amazing detail and lighting - was that your lighting or natural light? You have a great lens.
Lovely details, like the posts on the two stairwells left and right.
Cool perspective, it doesn't look as high up when shot from up there with Mr. Motts' angles.
Oh wonderful - a new gallery! Thanks for the historical text and photos, too. They add a lot to the story.
The lost and art of the silent screen era.

Cherish the memory.

Thanks for the photos. Nothing could spruce this place up. That gaping hole between the two white empty signs which used to bear the name of the current moving showing is an eye sore. For some reason, this set of photos was a melancholy experience for me. Perhaps it's because it brought back memories of my childhood attending grand old movies theaters with velvet curtains, high ceilings with ornate light fixtures, and lovely architecture thoughout. It is a bygone era.
