This reminded me of a childhood vacation in Acapulco, where after 3 days without water in a 5 star hotel, an almost identical sign suddenly appeared in one of the big mirrors by the elevator lobby in our floor, with the word "water" written with feces too, with the leftovers of the "chalk" used droped left in the table... Seems that people start to stake demands in written with watever material they have in hand, once a primary need is deprived.

at least a bit safer than the last "hungry 4 stick chair"!

Reminds me of a local theater here. It is over 100 years old, has survived two serious earthquakes and is still in the center of town. It has changed the top of the building from a hotel to box seats and dressing rooms. Through all of this work they have managed to keep the metal seat frames (similar to these) yet make them completely comfortable and padded.

I think I remember reading about someone getting in trouble for putting some records from Danvers or some other mental hospital on Ebay. for sale. I read so much, and my memory is not what it use to be..

Those records should be saved digitally for people doing family research or anyone doing research for a book. The paper records should then be destroyed, for they are expensive to keep in a safe, secure location as you can see here and at other locations.

These are some of the best decay photos I have seen. There doesn't seem to be much vandalism, just decay. All alone and decaying, the room that saw so much emotion, joy and laughter, and tears of sadness.

Mental patients are people with a disease, and they are all unique people just like each and every one of us. It is sad that such bold language is used for all to see.
