Recent satellite imagery shows rubble and fill dirt; I haven't been back there in a while.

Yes. Thanks, Mr. M.
So renovated - it is so fine. Lovely picture, such a cool look - those lights in the windows FTW
can be done if there is a will to do it. . . .
arghhhhh
Goodness: it is a fine house - look at that little dormer - what a room up there.
Yup - all gone. Mad World . . . . Honestly
.
(My House is built 1935 - Brick - facade plaster - all clever. )
Thank you for the historical picture/s/ - tiny sticks are now fantastic HUGE trees, of course - 80 years later.
Say what: Scissor Lift Contraption??
ILY Mr. M. - but i have No Idea!
lush
And yet......all this razed? Right? Unbelievable! So CLOSE to NYC: Awesome Center of The World, commuting distance, easily - would not anyone want to live here?
Awesome photo of fine home.
Could have been a fantastic community - all those Huge Trees, pool in the middle?
Still incredible is cheaper to demolish, and /maybe/ build anew. These are soulful pretty houses, well built too. Restorable.
World gone mad is just the first word.
Yes, eeiry - it is dreamlike - and these buildings, edifices, houses often appear in my dreams - and they are never ever bad dreams - quite on the contrary & opposite: mysterious but lightsome merry and carefree - and although i NOW know of horrid nighmarish events & darkness, i started looking at the pictures for the architecture BEFORE reading the threads and finding out what it was all about.
Live in Sweden thousands of miles away - have no connection/relation to any.
Some threads are really very emotional funny good informative - thank you All so much for sharing
Who would NOT like to live here? It is a lovely House. Down to earth Sturdy Brick lifted by those beautiful dormers. It is a great Picture.
YES, Jim: - The Google Earth shows clearly this razed state, and has the fine Time Slider to show it all. It does not /yet have/ the "Street View" - `Click to go´.
Would this be in the Parkwood between Sagtikos Prkw & Crooked Hill Rd?

Shame to let such a nice house, go to waste. I'm with you, eldo.

I agree, eldo, it is a shame that these could not have been saved & lived in again. Such a waste.

Good eye Mica! I failed to notice the reflections in the vintage picture until you pointed them out. Thanks

That's amazing. It kind of reminds me of how old movies would filter day-for-night shots
