Awesome shot. Is there anything on this land now or is it just vacant?
all right, who left the beer bottle?
sex - not any more
Odd that there's no graffiti except for that orange mark -
I stop by here every day too hoping for new photos! Thanks! I was going to ask if this place is still standing but I see you already answered my question. It's too bad they couldn't save these building for another use, but given all the horror stories of what went on here, there's probably nothing but bad karma so it's better they were demolished.

Motts, why didn't you go into the old doctors and nurses homes?

The buildings were usually wide open - not many interiors because it was so empty and monotonous in there!

Yes this building is still operational, as are a number of others on the campus. Building 25, also known as the Brill Pavilion, has always been used to house chronically ill patients, mostly geriatric. It was renovated in the 1990s.

Security was hit or miss, sometimes the guy on shift would be crawling around there, sometimes it was just quiet and empty.

I believe the top most doors were only used to access the refrigeration equipment for service; a scissor lift contraption helped move bodies around the taller drawers.

Yeah it seems like it's been sitting at the bottom of that cooler for a long time. I can make out: a white female, died in building 23, ward 3, Catholic.

Yes they finally tore these guys down in 2012 I believe. I hope someone salvaged all that great brick...

Yeah I can't afford NYC; life's way better out in the D for me.

Pilgrim State Hospital is still owned and operated by the State of New York as far as I know; although they may have divided the land up and sold some parcels to developers by now.

Yup we were shooting out of the building's windows that night; a patrol car was making rounds. The lens flare is similar to one created by the sun; the moon was just very close to the edge of the lens.
It looks like a Town! What a good look. It is gone now.
Strange. Could have been made into really cool flats. Big rooms. Lots of windows.
Very nice Moonshine shot
