Maybe you dont have a choice as to whether you stay here after death or not. Both types of haunting are sure to occur here, both residual and intelligent. Why would it not?
I'm a professional paranormal investigator and I can assure you a place such as this, with the number of deaths there and the negative and angry emotions that occured daily there, there has to be spirits still there. Intelligent and residual (you ghost hunter folks know what I am talking about). You cant hear anything if you're in a large group of noisy people running through a building. You have to sit and be quiet and observe. You WILL hear stuff then. You have to have EMF detectors, audio voice recorders(most spirit voices you will NOT be able to hear with your own ears, they show up later on your audio when you play it back), etc. Any place like a hospital, nursing home, etc is going to be haunted. Some more than others--spirits are just about everywhere. Dont fool youselves!
i was here last week we took some photos and saw some pretty weird thingd like silowettes of ppl on doorways when no one else was in the room besides us and weird noises its freaky man
My grandmother was a resident there in the 1980's. She was an elderly black/indian woman named Lucille Williams. She passed away in 1988 or 89 while she was still in the hospital. I am trying to locate any information on her. My father has since passed and did not leave a lot of information on his mother. If anyone who worked there could give me any information please email me at simstm360@yahoo.com. Thanks
i use to go here all the time! i would turn my lights off shortly after comming off the sunken meadow onto crooked hill rd, rite before coming up to the abandon buildings. pull my car right up to the front and walk right in. in the winter time theres like no security or cops in the area. but from spring till early november its a hot spot for people to go there and check it out so they up the security. i got caught a few times, once had to sit on the curb and get my car searched. however its really something else in there, ive gone during the day its pretty sick, if youve ever seen the movie rose red , thats what its like walking in there. at night its very very dark. ive herd noises in there and seen things but then again bums do like to make their homes in there.
don't go!! this place is not for some cheap fun.
these places should be treated like a sacred place.
if you do go take only photos leave only tracks
THAT GOES FOR ALL WHO GO WITH YOU,
I'm really scared, all these comments are really creeping me out. Well anyways this is my story. Me and my friends couldn't decide whereto go, but we were looking all over places and we thought of somewhere fun to go to. Then we all thought of going to the pilgrim state hospital since its near. We all went walking together in the morning. We didn't go inside though. We were thinking of going again at night. Should we? Can anyone tell me why it was abonaded? Why can't someone burn the whole building If its abonaded? Why can't someone buy it? Is there spirits there? Have anyone seen ghost? Is there really hobo's, cats, dogs, and bats that live there? Why would anyone go at night if there's polices? Can a ghost follow you? My important question is, Is Pilgrim State Hospital really HAUNTED? Someone please give me a big description about the Pilgrim State Hospital and answer all of my questions, thank you very much.,
@Rick: This is exactly the sort of behavior that will make most people here sick. If you used to do this stuff but have since grown up and out of it years age, just don't even tell us - we don't want to know.
Screwing with the rent-a-cops, fine. I'm not above that myself.
Removing things from the fallout shelters just to throw them is disgusting. Do you know what a find an intact (or even largely intact) fallout shelter would be? Throwing blocks off the roof is dumb and dangerous. Finding crap like that is just what it takes to get security tightened up.
THese photos are nothing but sadness. I had a family member there as a patient and would not be admitted there if we had the right medication as we do today. It still brings a great sadness. I would go as a young child to visit. Looking at the ohotos I question how many really needed to be there. It was a horrible place ........ terrible things happened there so dont look at it as a place to beused for anything other then what it was. It should be taken down . Building should be removed. It is extremely sad and scarey. I could cry seeing the young faces that spent their days there. God Bless them all.
