BUILDING 23 HOUSED THE SCHOOL OF NURSING. THIS IS SURE NOT HOW I REMEMBER IT IN '78.
I worked in bldg 25 in 1982 as an "MHTAT". I remember being trained by RN's to administer meds. I was a nervous wreck. In the summer, the wards had NO AC. Just really big fans . In 1986, I worked there again as an RN. This picture brings back alot of memories.
I had my job interview on the 2nd floor in 1982. I was hired for bldg. #5 as an LPN. I remember the scale model of the hospital. Orientation was held in the old library for Pilgrim's nursing school.
I applied to nursing school here in '64 and was invited to spend the day touring the facility. I remember the nightmares I had that night of when our bus approached the building. No way I could spend three years there!

People go in there and take the scrap metal all the time. I think they like get permission from OMH and go in and take the scrap metal.
Kafka's turning in his grave. Just hard to visually comprehend.

my grandmother worked in the dinning room for many, many years. i remember going there when i was 3 or 4 yrs. old with her . i am now 51, and it's weird to see these pictures ! it still looks spooky !
The smoke stacks made us curious as for what was behind them, a whole city that was and still is engrained in many, who grew up in the surrounding towns. Take the ten speed and a flashlight with trusted friends and let your mind wonder. 1986/89 edgewood was another. Oh the memories of childhood, THANK YOU for your website and desire. A Good person indeed.
