The town, owners of the property. Bear in mind ithad been neglected and unoccpied for 15 years. A large section of the front wall (buckling for years) gave way and collapsed. The structure had been evaluated as unsalvageable.

I'm thinking about checkin out this old school down the street from me its all graffitid though, but some graffiti you respect though.

The holes in the floor are probably from when the altar was removed, as they almost always do when a chapel/church closes.

Wait... (goes back and re-reads) WHAT? I have two problems with that sentence: "the outside brother assistant" and "controlled the temperature". Did you really need a Brother to assist you in taking a shower? And, of all the things he could have assisted you with (~shudder), why would you trust him with temp control? The only person who controls my shower temp is me (unless someone flushes, but that's another story).

Unlikely that it's a Freemason emblem.......it's missing the "compass"........although......the original owner of the property lived at a time when the Masons were very prominent members of society. If the Mansion was built in the time period that Motts spec'd........then Masons were literally everywhere.........National Government, Local Government, everyday "Joe's", etc.

I dont believe that is a Masonic symbol.........
