Imagine how hard it was to push those old hospital beds...Today they hav motors and gyros, and can be turned on a dime.
Looks like someone, somewhere, is hobbling around with only one boot....

We had those desks too. But there was also a rack under the seat for books.

I would hope there was SOME kind of privacy for the toilet.....at LEAST a curtain or something!

Personally I see no problem with having kids work on the farm. We sure did when we were little and no one yelled child labor. You helped raise the food you ate.

Flushed, that looks too close to the ceiling to stand on. It must be a shelf. Maybe the railing was to protect whatever was there from the kids....
