Hey, my brother is mentally disabled, so I know that sometimes numbers mean things to people with disabilities. Maybe this person thought that those numbers represented certain people in his family.
*nod* I get it now. Thanks, Mr. Motts. Your photos have inspired me to do some studying on the history of old buildings in my area.
And I don't know if you celebrate it or not, but Merry Christmas to you and yours :)
I was telling someone about this site the other day and came on this morning to capture the link and I was surprised to find new galleries on here since I was here last. Yay! I am happy and you know where to find me for the next few hours...BTW, this pic is my favorite by far, but so far. I love your art, Motts...I Wish I could collaborate with you, I was a wedding photographer for years. This is far better than weddings and love and cake...
Used to be called a 'sleeve press', although it could be used for any small article of clothing / fabric. I've seen these devices in garment factories in the US up until about 1980, so they've been around a while.
Looks like the remains of an editing table for building up reels of film for the projector. Could be used for rewinding, but the Strongs in the previous photo had a rewind feature.
Hi! Jackie. Thanks Motts for another wonderful gallery to see everyday. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2011. JackieB When are you coming down to Florida.
I'm a nurse and I assure you that is def. not real. Hah, on another note, I used to work with the developmentally disabled, 'profoundly mentally retarded' adults... and it makes me think of them shitting and pissing everywhere. Ugh, I'd be walking around this place thinking about how poop was probably smeared all over, etc. Maybe I'm just fucked up though. But seriously.. ugh, shit smearing..
