WOW! Genius Motts strikes again! Where DO you come up with your ideas for such GREAT shots!?
You know. I don't think I'd have the nerve to open up an old sealed casket, no matter how strong my curosity! Not because I'd be scared, but I wouldn't want to get even a small whiff of the decomp! AAACCKK!!! GAG!! GAG!! PUCK!! PUCK!!...UGH!
This Gallery just keeps getting better and better, and it's just barely béguin!

NOTE TO: Hybrid Moments.....Hey! How DARE YOU even HINT that someone (including YOURSELF) go find the locale of that chapel, and then go start tearing copper out of antique doors, etc.!!! Just because a property hasn't been actively used in a while doesn't give ANYONE the right to go into it, and start ''stealing'' stuff out of it and messing it up in the
process! It's just NOT YOURS TO TAKE! SOMEONE ELSE STILL OWNS IT ALL!....Okay! I'll admit it. You struck a nerve!
What a gorgeous old treasure! I most certainly hope and pray that the vandals and thieves don't get to this beautiful chapel, either! If they do find it, before touching or messing with anything, they need to remember that, ''Vengeance is mine!, saith the Lord.'' Hmmm...Maybe that's why this chapel hasn't been torn up and destroyed over the years! : )

Thanks for sharing this beautiful and special sacred place with us, Motts!

Yes, this is a magnificent instrument. One wonders how it felt to turn the blower off for the last time, to leave the swell box open, and to walk away, knowing it would never be played again. What are the chances of it ever being recovered or restored? Probably non-existant. Someone will sell the pipes for scrap, while the wooden pipes will no doubt be burned. What a shame for an instrument that was once loved and cared for.

I imagined walking down this beautiful aisle and having all the people stare at me. It's a place I'd love to have my dream wedding at!

I'm glad to see these archaic beasts (pipe organs) falling into disrepair. Virtually no one cares about pipe organs anymore (except a mere fringe of classical music geeks and old people), and the horrendous expense of maintaining the damn things is beyond pathetic. The egregious racket pipe organs emit is worse than listening to a Snoop Dog CD played through 20 inch subs for hours on end.

Okay, why is the floor cracked in a circle around the old thing? Natural aging, or another "lift" going down to the nether regions?
