It still looks majestic. . . I like the blues and greens showing through the decay.

@Squiddy: Welcome!
I love it- It looks so tangled in the next room.
I like the light play going on.

I think the idea of a rounded room preventing disease is strange, too.
"Trick or treat!"

. . . even if it IS in November. . .
Mr. Motts, considering how many old structures you visit, it may be advisable for you to get a chest x-ray if you haven't had one for a while.

Too many things with '-osis' , or '-oma' can happen when you breathe unknown dusts and mists.

Maybe you should carry a surgical/painter's mask with you on your adventures.

Just sayin'.

This doesn't look like it's in Staten Island, it should be up on a remote hill or somewhere. Great shot!

Toot, I totally agree with you!

Is that a ghost, Motts? LOL, just kidding!!! (I know how you feel about ghosts, or lack thereof.) I hope you had a mask on. The dust makes a beautiful picture but I am sure it's not great in the lungs!

Beautiful!

Wow! It is actually a great shot with all the colors and textures but it makes me wonder how beautiful that was back in 1890.

It's interesting how the brick is so pristine yet the floor (or ceiling that is now on the floor?) is, well, not.

Scary black hole. I love the texture of the peeling and chipping paint on the wall!

Oooo, I've always wanted a round room, lol!

I also love the angle of this shot!
