wanderer, could you post the links to those 2 videos, please? I'd like to see them & having issues with finding them. Thanks.

Wanderer, I think you would have to download the vids to your hard drive then burn them to a disk. It might be easier to just add the vids to "my favorites" if wifi is available were you would be viewing them. I wish Pat Ratchet would post. I am interested in the " J.E. Ware", biography. Thanks everyone.

Thanks Celeste! You most likely are right. I was thinking "state of the art" in the late 1970's, might be little more than multi lab work stations with sinks, Bunsen burners and a cabinet with a ventilation hood. I have not seen such a set up in any of the galleries. Thank Goodness for your work and Mr. Motts Galleries.

Take what I say with a grain of salt because I know nothing about the building extentions ( I only really care about the original 1897 architecture of Halcyon Hall XD )

But that looks more like it could of been a building for office space. It is really... cheap looking and budget lol. Supposedly the Science building was what lead to its bankruptcy but if that is the Science building... then I'd definitely question the validity of the rumors.

It was suppose to be "state of the art"

Posts on August 9, 2006 . Clarify the misunderstandings about Front and back of the building, I missed them, the info was there all along.

Wanderer and Celeste, would Wanderers photos # 18,19, 20 be the science building? I am just guessing, the "prefab" bay window with the metal cover would certainly be right for something constructed in the 1970's?

i didn't know what the science center was until the women from Bennett Commons showed me two buildings virtually hidden by foliage and I have been all over that place however the buildings have such a new look it could've been overlooked

Thank YOU, Celeste! Now I get it! The courtyard is the main entrance. Now I can go back and understand Wanderers pictures and the urbex postings on you tube. I also just went through the "Historic Images" section ogain. "Arriving at Halcyon Hall" on the courtyard side makes perfect sense. Celeste your work with "Minecraft" , is beautiful. I appreciate you attention to detail.

I don't know where the science center is lol. The Front is where the courtyard is and the main driveway leads up. This was the primary entrance for the entire building, you'd walk up the porch steps, walk a distance towards the center of the building, and enter the door on the left side of the chimney.

Once inside you'd be in a room with a fireplace, an open office window and I believe this was the checkin area as well. Direct ahead would be the reception room and to your right would be the Grand Living Room.
