Maybe I watch too much NCIS. But I would think that morgues/autopsy
rooms would have been kept very clean and sterile. While the stains on the floor are curious I doubt that it is bodily fluids.
Or maybe I'm wrong and it's just remnats of a zombie.
My dad worked at Mount Sinai when i was a child, before they closed. I would visit him as a little girl for lunch and we would go to the easy street rehabilitation center and he would let me play there in between sessions, and sometimes we could even eat in there. I had forgotten about it for many years-and then one night i dreamed of it --and called him to ask if it was real or something i mis-remembered (because i was so young at the time)
turns out it was legit--and it is so strange to see pics of it like this. i saw some pictures of it (back when the hospital was operational) and i remember it is a very strange way... i remember the car simulator and the little grocery store and i loved to play with the cash register.
it really does seem like a waste. this place with the exception of the renovated nurses quarters still occupies nearly an entire block, and as a result if you park on reed between 4th and 5th, odds are you're going to get broken in to by some of the crackheads that lurk around the grounds.
hey, I live in the neighborhood. only part of the building is apartments, i believe the old staff quarters. the rest of the block is still occupied by the hospital. it's got a for sale sign on it and there are various crackheads, maintenance types in and out. apparently there is some sort of rentacop to patrol the place but i've been here for years and i've seen plenty of crackheads (they love breaking in to cars on that block, the street is strewn with glass) and never 1 watchmen.
