I'm taking the train from here on out, damn airplanes. You don't see an airport with this kind of beauty in its construction. The advent of the airplane has cost us too much but what else to do, its too late.

Is it a common thing for the tiles and marble to lose their adhesion to the mortar that held them up for so long? Does the weather there contribute to the overall decay? Wonderful skill in photography by the way.

Heavy, Looks very heavy and the foundations must be massive to support such weight as this. How much does this station weigh?

... I want to go see this now.... I'm surprised can you just walk in here anymore? when i went with my dad we just walked in but that was years ago.
Oh my Even living near this creeps me out. Well after watching all those zombie movies (I'm talking about the good ones) I'm just waiting for one to jump out of this photo.... *Shiver* It's beautiful though.
It was abandoned because it just wasn't practical to keep it running anymore. It's too bad though it's really sweet when you just step into the inside and get to see it live.
