BTW, are they so low because they were for children? I just realized (or paid attention to) the fact that this was a school/hospital, so there were probably youngsters around... Were there seperate facilities (bathrooms, showers/baths, etc) for the adults?

Again, I think it's important to remember that these weren't mixed sex bathrooms. This was the girl's bathroom, and they were all that was in here. If I had to go in front of other people, I'd rather it was like this than being a mixed sex bathroom...

~Me: Yeah, my mind was already in its 30s when I was born... It made grade school rough (I kept getting in trouble for hitting on the teachers) :D

Luke/Grifspop: I care more about how patients are treated now than how they were treated then. If you were a patient now, would you care about how things used to be? "We do, genius" Hah!!! Classic!!! :D

This is a great photo, I will like to have seen this place when it was still in use, it feels so sad and lonely just to imagine people inside of those little rooms.

Luke,

We do, genius.

Sketch, for a young fellow, you've got an old mind. I like that. Mauh.

I was being sarcastic in my earlier post.

See, now there's the one in 100 that DOESN'T slap me (not ~Me, me) when I say get naked...

My ancestors killed Jewish people during WWII. In addition, some of my other ancestors fought and killed Nazi's during WWII, knowing that they were related to some. If I am to be held accountable for what one group did, it damn well better take into account what the other group did too.

Then again, since I personally had no part in what either side did, how can I be accountable for it? And if it wasn't done to you specifically (not you, Me, just a general sort of "you") how can you hold me accountable? But America isn't run on logic, so I still have people who were born in the 80's (like me) try to make me feel like I personally injured them during WWII. I generally tell them to fuck off, and walk away. It's easier than arguing. :D

Lynne - So THAT'S what I've been doing wrong! Everytime I ask to see someone naked I get slapped (ok, ALMOST every time) All I need to do is become an MD? That couldn't take more than a few months, right? :D

I just wanna throw a reminder in here that these weren't exactly mixed sex showers/tubs. It's not like there were male patients wandering around looking in on the female patients, and vice versa. From what I can tell, even most of the staff were the same sex as their wards, ie males with males, females with females. Of course there were exceptions, but then again in the medical profession a naked body is a naked body. You see so many that you don't even think about it anymore...

But isn't THAT what America is all about? What our ancestors have done?
(At least that is the mindframe of most americans)
