They're like the reminder that there were people here once and that some never left.

I gotta say, the windows are opaque, and only are show the top half. I would imagine that someone would be monitoring their shadows/silhouettes to make sure they are showering & not beating each other... ok, bad choice of words, but you know...

And anna wins the prize! That is exactly correct! When we are interpreting drawings we have a ~few~ guidelines to go by, since everyone is so very individual, but frequently it is the case that if someone draws huge teeth it indicates a bit of a hostile touch. Not always, just sometimes, and you need to know 2,000 other things about the person and the conditions under which the drawing was made before you can have any faith in this, but for a "cold read" it is a tad disturbing. :-)

For "Beth" I was seeing the curve at the top of the first letter, not below it.

Well, "seeing" is obviously relative. I was pretending to see it - how's that? ;-)

Beautiful texture on this one, and the symmetry of the various lines and right angles in juxtaposition with the randomness of the flaking paint is neat.

Wow.. I used the word 'neat'. My apologies.

It'd be cool if there was an axe mark or a finger nail in it. Or it was 7 in tally marks. Well, the axe or nail wouldn't be that coll in real life but in a movie it would! ;-)

It looks like the mouth of hell. Growing, waiting, and becking us to come and join it. The light looks inviting and comforting. Almost an holy sense, like the inside of the room is left pure and untouched by time and the world around us.

Ok, seriously now, Motts you have someone outside the door at all times, right? Wouldn't want you getting trapped in there... Although most artists aren't really appreciated until they're dead...

She paints an empty canvas when she is afraid
she built a falling castle with her body of sand
and although lost she found love in the eyes of him
a shoulder she could fall on, was never taken in
and all the rain is falling and the side walks are stained
with roses from her brushes and the pictures from her hands
oh she cries a little harder
if she only cried to me
now if she called my name
I would have ran to catch her
And the only tear left now comes from me
So now I say these words to you
I find it so hard to lose her
The greatest gift that God ever gave to me
was a girl I named December
she was a girl that I need
December

Makes me think of this song by Blue October:

Describe the pain
It choked your reality
It's all in your mind she said
Instead you go graceful dancing
You close the door
on the war I started last Halloween
I'm gonna be fine again
You got to keep graceful dancing
Oh

Here we are
And you're a super star on your own
And I'm looking over your shoulder
Getting older and God only knows
That here we are
And you're a super star on your own
Now here we are

Your sunset reigns
Like a bullet hole
Trees only seems for hanging
A moon is a target range
And rivers seem only for drowning
You fall away and then you starve
To finish your painting
Well its gonna take time my friends
You have to keep graceful dancing
Oh
