Please forgive me but I have to do this. This is NOT a Psychatic hospital it is a place that took care of children who where devlepomeltly and or phyicaly disabled. Many if not most of them where born this way some may have gotten polo or have been in accidents that had made it hard for there parents or other family members to take care of thee child. In some states the state could just take the child and place the child wherever. The reason some of the stuff was not give back to the client was because they had died and nobody knew how to get ahold of the family. The state agencies have a habit of leaving things behind in the building the abondond in mich they leave charts of patients the last hospyital closed was 1999 i think..
some dementia patients have very lucid moments; my dad suffered from dementia. It was such a joy to see his old self and utterly devastating when he relapsed. IT IS HELL!
ALMOST every building is made of steel and concrete. Old administrtion on the other hand, is made of all WOOD. If a fire starts in there, the whole entire building will probably burn to the ground.
Hey Radical Ed,
by any chance do you know what building this was taken in?
because today me and my friends were in this hallway. It was our first time going and we are just trying to get a perspective on where we were.
Thanks.
Reminds me of the time when I worked at the nursing home and I was on the elevator. It stopped on floor 2, and on comes the funeral dude pushing a dead patient on a gurney for removal. He gave me a creepy but friendly smile and hello. We then rode the elevator altogether, the dead person, the guy and me. *cringes*
Does anyone know if any architectural elements are going to be saved? i.e. doors, weathervanes, hardware, ect ?
I keep checking E-bay thinking stuff will appear.
