Yes many of the buildings were set on fire, I believe this was one of them.

They are across the parkway from the main Pilgrim campus.

I live next to Danvers and we drove by and Avalon Bay has begun demolition....I have a horse barn that i take riding lessons at that is right next to the hospital, so i have to watch them tear it down...its terrible...:-(

What's REALLY weird is remembering the "crazy lady" who use to wave to me out that window!!! (I can still she her now)

Seeing all these pictures bring back all kinds of memories of spending Sunday afternoons in front of this building, scared to death of the patients walking around outside and women yelling out the windows from the women's section, while my mother was in the men's section visiting my grandfather.

Needless to say, I never met my grandfather he died there, buy seeing these pictures sure stirred up memories of the Bonner building, the "Lady of the hill" church, the "gardens", etc.
Hearing about all the tunnels, etc.

These are beautiful pictures, but the real story will probably never be told. Just stories of what WE remember when we were kids.

I've sailed by yards like this when I was sailing on tugs and barges.... I always wonder where they'd been and what they had seen. Beautiful boats, sometimes I think they'd make great yachts or private cruisers

where did u find that ? ive been in the adults buliding a million times and cant find anything all that interesting.

hey anyone wanna go with me i've been there so many tiimes but could never find anything all that interesting.

me n a couple of my friends have walked threw there we've only been there at night n in the winter so it's not as bad to walk threw.but in the buildings there's alot of broken glass and shit like that.we heard some noises n light that looked on in one building by the courtyard n we walked back threw it was gone.there's also n abandoned power plant behind pennhurst that i've been to but the walking was the worst part.lol
