boring wall, cheap tile, and with a sad 70's era attempt at brightening up the surroundings. the rainbow looks just as depressed as most of the inmates must have been. i can see why you shyed away from this part of the facility.

it looks like these floors are tile, so youd be less likely to fall through, i think. this is a beatiful room. im surprised the color has lasted so long. well done

im curious; was this another hydrotherapy tub like at danvers, or just a tub for bathing and stuff?

i know what the reality is, but try telling that to my subconcious. i admire this piece for its aestetic value, and i am aware of what these devices were used for. though it may seem like torture today, its treatments like hydrotherapy that led modern psychology and science to pursue the truth about how the body and the mind works and how to better treat it.
im a lot more historically sensitive to these sort of things than i may come off as at first. i was just expressing my personal thoughts that this particular image generated in me, and it did weird me out slightly.
i browse this place to learn about the historic value of these sites, not fantasize about knife wielding maniacs and insane freaks

They have Razor wire at our jail ( just whent there for a feild trip)

And our tour guid ( Marshal...i think..the highest ranking as a police officer..?) walks us out into the yard and go's " Ah...dont you just love the smell of razor wire in the morning..they way it just glistens in the sunlight..god i just love my job"...we were all quiet lol..
