did you really walk through that thing???!!!
I cack my pants at the sight of a ghost train, let alone actually approaching one!
You brave brave people!
the convo's are v. v. v. amusing to read sometimes but then again when people have convo's between themselves it can make you feel a little left out...*sob*
in re of cameras's during childbirth.
My mum offered to take pictures of both my son and daughters heads during childbirth!!!! What fruit loop would allow anyone to video their lady bits?!!! child birth or not, its not normal and i'm pretty sure people have choices as to whether they have cameras in the room with them!!!
On the other hand, i noticed that i was surrounded by 13 med students as i gave birth to my son and 11 months later i was surrounded by 9 students as my daughter made her grand entrance!!! I wasn't even slightly embarrassed and actually had a charming conversation with a young asian girl who held my hand while i delivered! Child birth can be pretty harrowing for men too....
One other thing about "Belchertown"- I grew up there and always knew it's name was a joke for many, but actually it means "good cheer". Bel (good) and cher (cheer). Also, that camp someone mentioned is behind G Building and not a long walk at all... if it's still there!
Novocaine.... ummm..... ummmm..... what? You realize that the fan is not part of that machine? There is no way to even argue logic with that statement... There is no such thing as a "human blender"! Can you imagine how frigging strong the motor would have to be to put out enough torque to chop up bone?
To Alex: Belchertown was named for the colonial-era MA governor, Jonathan Belcher. The town's original name was Crystal Springs, but supposedly the governor was annoyed that it wasn't named for him; hence the name change. And to Bob: As BSS slowly closed down the vast majority of its population went into group homes. Perhaps some of the more challenged/challenging people did go to other state institutions, like Monson.
