It's not really a powerplant, this one doesn't actually generate electricity. It's more of a steam and hot water plant.

Though, william-joe, larger establishments often do generate their own power in an effort to achieve greater isolation.
before I read that the red things were Christmas ornaments, I thought they looked a lot like chunks of fresh flesh!

Torr is a unit of pressure, and 10^-something isn't a negative value, just a very very small value. Useful for measuring pressures as you approach a vacuum.

Yeah; a lot of the people at BSS were disabled, unsteady on their feet, impulsive, unaware of danger, etc. In one of the photos here you see a view up to the meazzine and you can see how little protection there was from falling over the edge. Anytime I was there, the mezzanine was off-limits.

I used to live in the neighborhood. These photos gave me the same shivers I used to get when walking past.

You could sell these on eBay like the buttons you almost got. ee and ou -- that's weird! I guess it is a form of Scrabble. How would you know about a drug den, Mr. ALLCAPS?

Another beautiful gallery. I've travelled to a few places myself, including NoHo and an area close to it. I want to go to Monson, but it's very hard to find information on the area. We had travelled there before (mind you its extremely hard to find...) and turns out it was still open! =O

Anyways, at one point we almost went up a road that read "Not maintained, proceed at your own risk". I believe this is where the abandoned area of the hospital is. Does anyone have any suggestions or knowledge as to the hospital and if in fact its up that dangerous steep road?
