What happened to all these tunnels! Were they filled in before the demolition? What were they filled in with? All that beautiful brick work gone to hell!

FRIENDS HAVE WITNESSED GHOST. MY FRIEND GOT MARKED BY A GHOST. SHE GOT RED HAND MARKS ON HER. AND MY OTHER FRIENDS SISTER GOT CHOKED BY A GHOST. THESE STORYS WERE TRUE AND KNOW BODY WAS WITH THEM. MY BROTHER HAS WITNESS A LITTLE GIRL LAUGHING AND KNOW BODY WAS WITH HIM AT MY DADS! AND HE SEEN A GIRL WALKING ACROSS THE HALLWAY!

Janice, not quite the last :-) My father is 72, and in addition, was raised by his grandmother (who was born in 1878), so he passed down some antiquated sayings for objects, etc...(called the microwave the "radar range", told us not to run around in "stocking feet.", things like that.)
We also had an old"icebox" from the early 1900's when I was a child. (My Dad loved to collect antiques)

If a resident became agitated or disturbed by acting out in some manner what would you call it?At Pennhurst it was" going off the head" Was that term used there?

Picture this scenario. Someone rushing the door, in an attempt to escape. A frequent occurence. Alternately a fight happening just inside the door, behooves one to be real careful on entering the door. The patients moved to a violent ward tended to have impulse control issues, another good reason for extreme caution

All that looks like to me is Untouched teritory.

I'm still surprised that a lot of the things inside the building weren't taken out when the school initially closed...
