I love how the paint has been peeled (either by age or by fire) away to reveal the orange and ugly stripe pattern underneath the more bland gray/white.
Lynne - when you read this, can you look at the first image of Hellingly and see if you have an idea of what my image (link in comment) is?? THANKS, HON!
The only thing that "Those mental people" have to get upset over is your uneducated and seemingly pointless comment. People who were patients (which is what intelligent people call them) came to stay here to receive specialized, around the clock care at this hospital.
The mess that was captured in this picture is from years of vandals and bored people coming into the abandoned institution and destroying it, not from agitated patients. The facility closed over 10 years ago.
and the merry go round is only half gone it is still partially in the small metal build on a hill they try to make some money by selling of the animal thingy but then that idea crashed and burned so its still partially in there but its harder to get in the build now they built a garden supply build and PVTA built a new building so the merry go round is int he middle almost of the two [removed entry information]
Not a flywheel at all. The outer part is a cage which also has magents. The inner part spins by another source, perhaps one of the steam engines. This then is an electric generator.
um yeah im a 15 year old kid i live in belchertown and you only got 1/100 oh the best stuff there so many building and not all are bland you shoud really get some pics of the merry go round or the power plant has a great view of mountains on the roof and many of the side building soon there is a resort thingy that they wanna build and they are soon going to to be take things down so you should really try and get back here soon and get into the other building
There is SO much glass in the lab, a couple stupid friends of mine wore sandals and got nasty cuts.
having sex there is the most disgusting thing i have ever heard of.
I'm not sure if anyone knows what building it is, but it seemed like an office of some sort. anyways, hanging from some of the beams on the ceiling, there were these beautiful delicate mobiles. some of panda bears, flowers, paper ships[the most amazing] and quite a few of them were hot air ballons.
in addition it looked like there was some sort of clinic there as well, we found external male catheters [they look like a condom, with a short plastic tube at the end] on a bloody towel. sickening.
and also, to Motts, you captured the feeling so amazingly. i have been there the past 2 nights and earlier today i stubled across your pictures and it makes me feel i am there again.
