Looking for any information on the physical condition of the children's building. I haven't been to Glenn Dale in over a year, and want to know if it's even a managable trip these days, security and all. I'm bringing some friends, and want things to go as smoothly as possible.

Yeah, I'd hope patients couldn't access that, it seems that if they could it would certainlly be a disaster. Even having staff being exposed to it seems like a accident waiting to happen.

i love riding around on my bike and looking in the building, though scary. they have a bowling ally a huge kitchen the theatre and a bunch of bedrooms, with old old sscary underground tunnels leading everywhere

my only guess is that those safety/fire axes probably owned by the hospital and kept in a certain area for fire escape purposes. You said they use these old delapatated buildings for training, i don't think the goverment sound send out good men into an unsafe building but with that said... the fire department might have been there for training and left a couple pieces of surplus behind.
