I think they may have actually done that to save glass. Glass was really really expensive in the 19th century and didn't come in the large pieces it does now.

This photo is an infrared shot, which pulls infrared light from the scene... I also adjusted the hue to the blueish color in post.

I thought the ornate ceiling and converging lines of the staircase made for a graceful looking decent to the corridor below.

The green hue comes from light shining through the ivy covered windows.

Reminds me of one of those chase sequences - like in Scooby Doo when the gang gets chased back and forth from room to room and the ghost ends up being chased... you know what I mean...

they're not uncommon. and they're not "absolutely disgusting". they're just different and i think the pros outweigh the cons.

I"m in the first band that will use pictures of Pennhurst on the album! It's perfect!

I've been in that room with all the medication bottles. It's sooo freaky!! I tried to open that door as well, and I was also very curious as to what could be behind the door, but I'd never dare trash the door. Pennhurst is way too beautiful to damage. Has anybody been in the morgue?? It's in a house sized building near the dietary, and it goes back sooo far. The room is really small, and there's 3 body freezers in the room. You get the weirdest feeling in that room.

Motts is that the actual color of the sky or did you use a certain thing on your camera...and why for the life of me can't I think of the word I want.
