this pic is amazing and all you people can talk about is the paint?!?! lol, acually that shade of green as always been my least fav color because i've watched so many scary movies about mental hospitals! to me, it isn't calming, it's freaky!

i don't know why, but that chair looks scary to me. maybe it's just my imagination. It's as if that chair has been turned around a body was found in it!

I heard about a haunted mental hospital and looked it up. Man this pic is freaky! it inspires mye to write! and i don't find it unusual for hallways to light up as you walk down them, but that exit sign is kinda freaky all it's own!

yah... i live on pennhurst road. i actually believe my house is haunted. i always see a blue figure on my third floor when i come upstairs in the dark at the very end of the hallway. and lastnight my friend slept over, and i had placed my hair clip on the couch. i wake up looking for it and find it all the way on the table. alot of things tend to be moved around in my house... and its not any of my family members......

i believe they are home made but they must've shared specs with other institutions b/c i've seen them in other places. one basement storage room had a couple of these chairs in a room full of artificial limbs and polio braces!

that chair reminds me of the home made chairs at another state institution for helpless children that i frequent.

The conveyor system in the picture is one of the reasons that the physical plant in South Bend was not efficent for 1960's automobile production.The car bodies were assembled in a mulity storey building.Then rode the conveyor to the upper floor of the final assembly building.Where they dropped through the ceiling to the assembly line on the ground floor.As longer and wider cars became popular in the late 50's and 60's the clearences of the conveyor system would not accomadate larger bodies.Some of the longer cars they produced had to be sectioned in a seperate opperation.

I watched this on ABC Family and it was on a show! It looked haunted!!
