That room makes me want to barf just looking at it. I can only imagine what it smelled liked.

I thought certain decease's and viruses could stay dormant for years under the correct codition's. Maybe that type of casket was required during the TB outbreaks in the early 1900's or when a body was deseased.
I gotta say If I had an environmental suit my curiosity would get the better of me and I would opening that sucker in a heart beat.

I worked at this place from 1989-1991. I was a Rec. Therapist and worked evenings and weekends. We played Badminton and Frisbee in this Courtyard all the time. The whole place gave everyone the creeps. I did not know about the documented murder or the graveyard! There were plenty of rumors about other stories though. You've outdone yourself capturing its creepiness.

i live near this place the stories are numerous if you ever get a chance to read project 17 read it it talks about the weird things that go on there many people have died there and if you went in you never came out...

one thing in my mind: that facility was the tall man's mausoleum and this are the tall man's pants (movie: "the phantasm") =:-D

Whenever I see statues, it reminds me of the "Black Aggie" statue in Illinois. It's very haunting yet serene.
