I looked this up in the South Bend center for history. It was a loading and recieving dock from the railroad. Each platform on levels 1-4 were different stages on the assembly line. If you look close enough there is a boom crane to haul matrerials to each level. The plant was verticle in size for the lack of real estate so materials were shipped "just in time" for the line.

Thats an access hatch not a drainage pipe. There are also no holes but whatever.

The thought of walking through that place barefoot. Uggggg. lol

I guess that means for those of us that are free should enjoy that freedom much more. But on the other side...like someone said...if you did the crime you pay with time....well sort of something like that anyway....Really, that would be horrible to be locked away like some animal. I think it would be better off to be dead in someways....cause you have no freedom anymore. How horrible. Appreciate what you have. Life is short enough for us all really.....

Those walls are pretty awful looking....ugh...but what do you expect after the building has been sitting this way since '79....Nice picture though Motts....just think of how heavy that tub is too....
