I don't noe much about ghosts but I love watching Ghost Hunters it's what inspired me to go to Kings Park a few times but in the show they say that an unexplained mist is usually a ghost, but still this picture is pretty cool

oh man do I remember the tunnels. the tunnels connected all the bldgs. on the lower campus. came in handy during the winter for traveling Throughout the tunnels you had side rooms. there was a lot of weed smoking down there and a lot of hanky -panky also among the workers. oh the memories!

Worked at Pennhurst from 1/77-84 and i can assure that the patients showers didn't look like that.. as a matter of fact it looks like a shower that was reserved for workers possibly in Maint. or the many abandoned bldgs. and wards that existed even when I worked there.

you're very good with not peeling the paint to see what else is there... if i had found this i probably would have kept chipping away out of curiosity to see what else i could find... haha. this picture also gives me unsettling feelings... like i can't get it out of my head sometimes. good photo.

been there many times. I have had quite a few personal experiences there with cold spots in the main hospital building. As well as sensations of being watched or followed through some of the tunnels. It was a great place to go explore until the security became to tight. Best way to enter [information removed as per site policy].

For the millionth time, read the description under the photo - it's Mott's companions taking pictures!! Now, as for the showers, I recall in my early high school years that in PE class there were centralized shower areas and not only were we expected to bathe together, in those days, you had to go in the swimming pool NAKED. Yes, they did not allow swim suits for some ungodly reason, so you were expected to swim naked with 30 other guys. Needless to say it was a traumatic experience all around. Of course if I had to do it now, it wouldn't be a big deal. But as a 13 - 14 year old, it was too much to handle. Especially since at this time (early 70's) they did not keep the area very clean and there were stories circulating about catching all these horrible diseases from the water and dirty floors.
