lynne, thanks for your sensitive and informative comments. What you said about the straight jacket and confining people with your arms proves that the best therapy for anyone with mental illnesses or emotional problems is physical contact with other human beings, much like being hugged ;)

An incredible set of photos, Motts. I'm in awe. I'm really interested in the historical element of this. I mean, why was it abandoned anyway in 2000? Who took away all the 'stuff' ??? and if it's abandoned, why take the stuff?????????

a little bleach, some elbow grease and that room would be as good as new - I just want to say that I stumbled across this site awhile ago and keep coming back hoping for a new gallery - I so envy Mr. Motts. He is doing what I would love to instead of sitting at this desk day after day. But I am going out this weekend searching with two digital camera, a tripod, some lenses. . . . KEEP UP THE NICE WORK!
