What a terrible terrible waste! When will those in charge in this country wake up and realize what we are losing. Beauty matters! Beauty makes one feel at ease! The cookie cutter architecture practiced in the country now is depressing to say the least! Thanks again Motts! You have given most of us a chance to see the inside of buildings we could never have seen, nor even known existed.

Deceased unknown, most embalmers and funeral homes use those blocks... its not really all that embarrassing

i was in the same part of the building today were they filmed most haunted and wer heard footsteps n ppl talking in there n there was nobody else in there exept me and my to mates we ran out n i smashed my head on a piece of wood that waent there wen we walked in

That's what I was thinking, Richard. Maybe a reception area or an information desk of some sort. I think Motts said this was in a newer addition to the hospital, which would explain why the wood looks so well-kept.

At first glance, I almost thought it was the cover of a book, or a folder, or some such. So, that was one of the doors to the purple-n-green narrow room? Very cool.

My god, can you imagine how scary that would be for a child? For whatever reason they'd be put in there, it's so narrow and sterile. I know I would have a hard time being "decontaminated" or whatever, in a room like that.

Otherwise, this is a brilliant shot, Motts. The angle and the colors... absolutely stunning!

Motts, was there any indication as to whether these stairs were at one time equipped with railings? I mean, being a children's hospital, one would assume they were at some point, but then again, you've found architectural oddities before.
