As far as I know, they were used to pass objects to the patient in seclusion without having to open the door (food, water, etc).

These were taken in 2005 - I have gone back (last year I think) but did not see inside the admin building.

I'm over 50 but I have vivid memories of being in a crib in my early years. I remember cyring when I was placed in there and my mother would tie rosaries around the bars for me to play with. They would never do that now, I suppose I was lucky I didn't hang myself! But it still amazes me how far back I can remember and the things I remember.

One of the buildings I worked at, when we would run network cable for new computer workstations a lot of times we would just lay the cables on the floor like this, especially if it was through an area that wasn't used. A lot easier than trying to hide it plus it used less cable than running it around the walls.

The broad worn stairs perhaps leading to nowhere, made for a great deal of foot traffic.

I forgot to say that it was two weeks ago that I was in Bad Soden at the Heart Hospital.

I was in a German Heart Hospital (my stepfather is in the hospital recuperating after his heart surgery) in Bad Soden and was amazed at all the English medical books that were in the doctor's office. He didn't speak English even with all the books.

reminds me of medieval architecture where there is a sense of filling all of the spaces. One expects gargoyles.

This art work looks newer than the rest of the building. Maybe it was done for the movie.

There would have been treatment places for children.

Was this in the kitchen area, because I can imagine a communal bath for TB patients.
