I think the top large item is not a light but is a heater, similar to those one sees at skating arenas. The smaller item below is a light.

i think it could be that the patients were called from their dorm rooms to the operating rooms by number example is room 03 goes to operating room 03 and so forth

It looks like a shower chair. They still make chairs a lot like this out of outdoor chairs for mental wards and nursing homes.

I used to live in an apartment house in Paris, IL that was built in 1900. There is a faver box, to this day, in the basement. It is certainly creepy. The house was built by a wealthy family and was considered a mansion, very high class at the time. I never realized what it was used for!

Many teenagers break in and it was used in the WW2 to make nuclear war tanks and then it jsut stopped and now here it sits in my little town rotting away....

Its a very popular game for seniors and on cuises as well. Sounds like fun!

You'd need wide hallways to handle the most violent patients. Anyone coming into those rooms was probably physically and/or chemically restrained and/or strapped down on a stretcher, and if they weren't it would take 4 or more orderlies to get them in the room.
