Thank you, NikonFM. I have been in McLean Hospital a lot, and they use ECT (shocks) quite a bit. I've seen it really help a lot of people. I even tried to get my psychiatrist to schedule me for treatments, but alas, I'm not eligable.

That's so sad Julie. The forgotten people with mental illnesses are often treated as so much garbage. They are thrown away into a world that must be nightmarish for them at best. I wonder how many died on the streets. Alone & forgotten.
