this shot is hauting and absolutely fantastic.

my mother showed me this place last summer before my sixteenth birthday. this place impacted me so much, i can't even begin to describe. i am a practicing wiccan, and this place has such a powerful spiritual pull i almost cried when my mother said it was time to leave; people we're getting suspicious. we had gone to explore and take some photos [my mother is a photographer]. and it killed me to see some of the...non-natural destruction.

I've seen similar mechanisms in greenhouses.

its so terrible that so many of those people were turned out into the streets. many of them actually end up in prisons because they break laws and don't know any better. i really think places like this should still be running...with better treatment of course.

Hi, I am an illustrator born and bred in Denbigh. You have some great photographs here, especially the ones of the Hospital. When did you go there? There has been a programme shot there in 2008, it was a 'most haunted ' week long special and about a week after they had finished filming there was a massive fire there, spooky or what?

Wow. I wasn't expecting that at all. The building seemed pretty solid then "bam" Total destruction. Fascinating.
