Ah... thank goodness for internet, space for comments, free speech, and most of all good art. Intriguing.
If you walk through that door do you end up in John Malkovich's head?
Something about this picture made the hair on my arms stand on end!

"Ya gotta wanna" is a great motto. This sign, and so close up, does indeed mock...
I think the paint is a good metaphor for this, and many of the other sites Motts had shared with us through his galleries: Slowly, piece by piece, shriveling up, becoming just a smaller bit of once was, until eventually nothing remains......

From what I've heard, that is indeed the meaning behind this usage of the word industry. Although "hog farmer" would be amusing here...

Love this. Yup, I'd have to touch each one.
I keep waiting for creepy twin girls to suddenly materialize at the end of the hall and ask if I want to play. :'p

Awesome shot! The contrast of this hall compared to the disarray of some of the previous shots is so striking! It's almost like a quick going-through with a broom would clean this hall right up.

The leaning chair does add levity to the place. Interesting.

Doorways did seem narrower back when alot of times. My former house, built in 1920, featured very strange doors between some rooms that were but a foot wide and seven feet tall. Odd sizing and placement... they almost seemed afterthoughts in the architecture. I know that isn't common, but construction did seem less regulated then.
