It looks like the chair tried to escape and didn't make it. Is that the moss-covered stairway in the background?

It looks to me like one of those fake wasps' nests they sell in catalogs that are supposed to repel wasps.

I love the dramatic lighting. It looks as if you could just sweep all the dust off the floor and stairs and be open for business.

I don't know what it looked like when it was new, but it looks better now. I'd like to see the handrails gone. Very beautiful.

I agree with you all. While the angle is compelling, I really don't want to try going down those stairs. The shadows at the top add a slight touch of menace.

What a fantastic room. I love the pictues where there are doorways visible through doorways. It really invites you into the frame. All those splotches on the far wall makes me think the graffiti artists were running low on spray paint.

I've seen pictures in gardening magazines that look a lot like this. It's like you can wander through all that tall stuff and come out onto a tidy patio where a comfy chair and a cool drink await you.

At the very least, sit in that doorway enjoying the breeze and the chirping of the birds. In spite of its decrepitude and unusual shape, it's an inviting room.
