Candles look lit, fresh flowers there, it's being maintained. The plaque there likely has info regarding this grotto, which appears to be dedicated to the Virgin Mary. (Obvious statue.) In the Catholic religion, praying to the Virgin Mary became common as it was thought that Jesus would not neglect his mother's wishes. She's a very powerful figure.

Something tells me that the occupants were not very concerned about the architectural features. No complaints were ever heard.

Power for the TV? How do we know it was even on when the squatter was watching it? They may had been constructing their own TV programs, like seeing reruns of Zombies From the Stratosphere. I hate when those show up.

I love this shot. .. but the pictures make my soul cry. I spent so many summers in the catskills and its sad to see these grand hotels that I remember open now closed and decaying :(

can motion sensors be used in Hospital Staiwells?

In on the 6th and it was amazing as usual. Very horrid shape though massive collapse recently in center section. If you go wear a hard hat and bring ropes and harness if available. Small run in with police on the 9th that was unpleasent but proved pointless on there part.

recently went to this location and shot for a few hours it is now for sale and will more than likely be demolished for housing. I will explore it as much as possible

I have become a real fan of your work. I did some "investigating" related to abandoned military sites in WA, NY and NH many years ago. I never thought abandoned hospitals would ever be this interesting, beautiful, touching and tragic. Thank you for sharing your work.
