I grew up in Upper Darby , Pa in the 60s. I remember hearing about Pennhurst. I live in Miami now. I had forgotten about it until it was on those shows afew years ago. So sad....

Looks like they were attempting to draw on of Anton Mucha's season series. Not a bad attempt either considering the media used.

Obviously the above people do not have any compassion for handicapped people .....I would have expected some sort of feeling for the poor people that suffered while in the care of this place.. Where is your heart..........

This the ugliest atrocity that I have ever seen ....I have a handicapped son and would NEVER in his life or mine subject him to this kind of treatment ....this brought tears to my eyes in feeling the pain of the poor people subjected to this type of treatment.....

you guys think ladd rocks? Try taking care of the patients who are still alive. Its a saddddd situation daily.

My school is located right near this prison, some students walk by the prison on a daily basis. The Correctional facility has been turned into the Lorton Workhouse Arts Center and you can vist the grounds. Other parts are still closed off but being renovated i believe.
