In Ohio there is an amusement park in side of a former military tank factory. The ferris wheel extends out of the top of the building. The view is amazing especially is you get stopped up there. For any one curious it is the IX Center near the Cleveland airport.
I'd love some of that second story iron fencing. Always looks so cool in the French Quarter. Some of this stuff has to be salvagable. Those panels on the swing ride were in perfect condition. A Mardi Gras float could use them.
I've seen other pictures of this amusement park on the internet, but Mr Motts you always do the best job. I haven't seen it until I've seen it through your eyes. Thanks
"It is a terrible and frightening thing to be betrayed by your own brain." Jane, Lynne, Lyric. (from previous page) Good stuff. Anyone brokenhearted and lonely could have been so due to meds not having kicked in yet, trust me. The scariest place is in one's own mind.
Alright! Another gallery of photos from Northwood Asylum!.....The linens in this casket actually look quite pretty, especially when you consider how old they must be!
@W'force Hi! I don't know how 'old' a man you are, but my husband and I are 56 & 53, respectively. So you see, Motts does have some 'older' followers! Additionally, we're into photography as a serious hobby.....Anyway, we would purchase a book of Motts' photography in a heartbeat!
Motts, I've really enjoyed this wonderful gallery! On to the next one!..... : )
@Patty. I don't think most of the patients there would have viewed the doors 'as freedom'. I think most of them would have viewed the asylum as 'home' and would have felt pretty comfortable there.
Wow Motts! The ceiling beams in this asylum really are massive!
If there wasn't soundproofing in the walls of this room, I don't see how just having a soundproofed door helped all that much. Especially with the transom window above the door!
